Finaly finished this Aluminium Tricone Resophonic Guitar... went to the DIY store, bought some aluminium sheets and some other stuff then glued, nailed and hammered it together... 3 ukelele cones amplify the vibrations of the strings via the aluminium/ebony bridge... the coverplate made from a cymbal protects the bridge and cones... rosewood fingerboard, mahogany neck with trussrod... it rings like a bell!

The streetpainting festival in Nocera (Italy) was not very successful this year, because it rained. After some hours of work it started, covered the painting with plastic, waiting hours for it to stop... which it didn't. Nobody was able to finish their work. So the second picture is how it looked after a day of rain.

Theremin

Build a theremin and amplifier into an old fifties radiospeaker. The theremin was created around 1919 and is considered to be the world's first electronic instrument. It consists of two oscillators operating at a radio frequency; one is at a constant and the other is varied by approaching the antenna with your hand. It's also the only instrument that is played by not touching it.
Here's a tune I recorded to give an impression, playing my resonator guitar through this little 2 watt amp and the theremin.

XI Concorso Internazionale dei Madonnari

I participated with 3 friends & colleagues in a streetpaintingfestival in Nocera, Italy, close to Napels. The theme was Saint Paul. In Italy streetpainters are called Madonnari. It's an old tradition where the artists depict the Madonna or other religious subjects with chalk pastels on the street trying to make a few bucks.

It was a pleasurable afternoon, although Gary was pissed off with some regular customers his warm spirit opened up to me and he even had tears in his eyes, because he was so happy seeing and connecting with me... Below is a soundsample of this little howling instrument. Like a cat it's not always reliable to give pure notes, but this could also be my playing technique.

I took this picture with my mobile on a metro in Rome. First there were only the two girls on either side. They intrigued me because they looked so similar doing the same thing. Like the women statues on buildings guarding a portal. By the time I found enough courage to take a picture (pretending to show something to my girl), two other players squeezed into the frame, making what was first a serene image suddenly very dynamic. And although the tension of the two in the middle is apparent, the girls keep their sphinx like attitude.

Electric Semi-acoustic Resonator Guitar

My first serious handbuild guitar. the aluminium conus inside gives a nice warm sound, perfect for slide-guitar. It turned out very well, beyond expectations. I'm very pleased with my eagle shape design on the headstock, cutout and tale and the feathershaped soundholes. I'm thinking of building more with this design, especialy if someone is interested in buying this model. Just let me know.

Fruitcase Guitar & Amp

Took a fruitbox apart and made it into a guitar. For the bridge I used two rusty bolds connected with a nut. Works pretty well.
